The Fourth Annual “Run to the Fun” In The Books

The Fourth Annual “Run to the Fun” hosted by the Arizona All Gens Camaro Club has been an amazing cruise of epic proportions. Held every January it unites Camaro enthusiasts from four states and makes for a breath taking spectacle on London Bridge in Lake Havasu, Arizona. In it’s first year 46 Camaros made their way to the London Bridge. The wind couldn’t keep away a good time, nor could it in the second year which saw 76 Camaros line up. In the third year, 107 Camaros braved the rain and the elements for one epic weekend and a first time trip to Pirates Cove and some great shots on Old Route 66. This year 91 Camaros made their way to a first time ever parade thru Lake Havasu much to the joy of all watching and snapping pictures. This celebration of an American Muscle Car Legend has been gaining in popularity despite the miles on the odometer. The friendships brought together by this extraordinary car have gone beyond state lines and also got the attention of General Motors who gladly add this event to their yearly calendar. It is a true joy to witness and also to hear the roar of the mighty Camaro who never seems to wane in popularity. The hope is to keep this tradition going for many years to come and to help keep the nostalgia alive! • The club has experienced some great growth boasting nearly 500 members with a “Core” that helps organize and manage it’s events, website and cruises like the “Run to the Fun.” It’s truly been amazing to watch this club family grow from four to almost 500. All because of a car and renowned enthusiasm for that car. Camaro does mean “close friend, companion, comrade, etc.” That couldn’t be more true as it’s always been a car that epitomizes muscle and nostalgia. It’s our club’s hope to keep on going and never let the enthusiasm waver. In conclusion it’s been an amazing run and we all are excited about the next outing!
