We can’t wait to get out to SEMA to see what’s new in the world of automotive products, design, styling and equipment. But one thing we already know we are about to see is the GM Camaro 1LE concept and the ZL1 Carbon Concept vehicles.
Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer for the Camaro, said “The Camaro 1LE concept is all about the track”. He continued “It’s an all-out race car package that pays tribute to that special option from the past.” Some of the features of the 1LE are:
Victory Red exterior , with a flat black hood and hash marks on the front quarter
Satin black splitter, rocker panels, rear spoiler and mirrors
Magnetic Ride Control implemented in the Sport suspension
Six-speed transmission
Lightweight 20×10-inch and 20×11-inch satin black racing wheels surrounded by Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G asymmetrical tires
Brembo six-piston front brake calipers over two-piece front rotors, and four-piston rear calipers
ZL1-style active exhaust and diffuser
Some engine appearance pieces and interior upgrades.
The ZL1 Carbon Concept is a more sinister version of the upcoming 2012 ZL1. For a list of it’s features along with pictures from the SEMA event, be sure to check back on Tuesday.
