DIAMOND BAR, California — Organizers of the 2011 SEMA Show have announced the list of contenders for the hottest vehicles awards, including the 2012 Hyundai Veloster, Honda Civic and Chevrolet Camaro — but there are some glaring omissions.
The 2012 Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf didn’t make the cut.
Thirteen vehicles, including the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Fiesta and Fiat 500 are battling for top honors in the new hottest sport compact category. Other vehicles in that category are the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Honda CR-Z, Hyundai Veloster, Lexus IS, Mazda 2, Scion iQ, Scion tC and Subaru Impreza. Missing from the list is the 2012 Nissan Sentra SE-R.
