In only its second year of operation, the Camaro Driving Academy is proud to add six new 2020 Chevrolet ZL1 1LE Camaros to the fleet. It remains the only motorsports park to feature exclusively Camaros for its driving academy, now with a complete lineup of Camaro 1LE’s, including the Turbo 4-cylinder, V6, SS 1LE models. Also new for 2020 is the 1-day PDR (Performance Data Recorder) Advanced Lapping program The exhilarating Performance Data Recorder (PDR) Advanced Lapping course combines state of the art motorsport data acquisition with expert driver instruction. The Camaro 1LE track package cars are available with the latest performance data recorder monitoring all driving dynamics during a track session. The Camaro Driving Academy’s team of highly skilled coaches are able to dissect the data using the Cosworth Race Engineering Toolbox. The detailed analysis will reveal which sections of the track students are doing well, and which sections to focus on for improvement. This course is tailor made to develop driver precision, become smoother and quicker, master the optimal track line, and then be able to analyze the lapping sessions through PDR long after the driving experience at Area 27.

Drivers will develop their trail braking technique, optimizing brake pressure in order to maximize corner entry. Apex speed, position, and steering angle all contribute to higher exit speeds and lower lap times. If you have already completed the 2.5-day Camaro Driving Academy then the PDR Advanced Lapping is the next step to take you to the next level.
