2021 Camaro Shock And Steel Edition Now Available To Order

The 2021 Camaro is now available to order with the special Shock And Steel Edition package, CamaroNews has learned.

For those who may be out of the loop, General Motors first introduced the Shock and Steel package with the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro. The package adds a variety of aesthetic upgrades to the iconic performance two-door, but unfortunately, the package was subsequently axed with the introduction of the 2021 Camaro.

However, the Camaro Shock and Steel package was later set for reintroduction later on in the 2021 model year, as CamaroNews was the first to report. Now, according to sources familiar with the product, the 2021 Camaro Shock and Steel Special Edition is available to order, which means dealers can place an order for the special edition model.

The Shock and Steel package includes a raft of styling enhancements for the exterior of the 2021 Camaro, and is available on both the Coupe and the Convertible. The package includes the following content:

• 20-inch Blade Design aluminum wheels
• Carbon Flash-painted sideview mirrors
• Carbon Flash-painted center stripe and surrounding stripe in Silver or Shock colors
• Body-color high-wing spoiler (Coupe only)
• Black fuel filler door with visible carbon fiber insert
• Yellow-painted brake calipers

The upgrades continue inside the cabin space, and includes the following content:

• Black sueded knee pads
• Carbon fiber instrument panel molding
• Premium carpeted floor mats

The latest 2021 Camaro is the sixth model year of the sixth-generation nameplate, arriving with a few minor changes and updates over the preceding 2020 model year. Highlights include the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the availability of the 10-speed automatic transmission with the SS 1LE Track Performance Package, and the addition of the Wild Cherry Tintcoat exterior color. The latest Camaro also offers a new appearance package called the Wild Cherry Design package, which also bundles together several styling and cabin enhancements for the muscle car.
