Ken Hubert of Watsonville, California, owns what many would consider the cream of the crop when it comes to the first-generation Chevy Camaro. The car is a factory 396 ci big-block 1968 Camaro SS/RS that, believe it or not, his own sister purchased back in September of 1968.
Then in 2010, Ken took ownership of his sister’s 1968 Camaro and, with his son David, they began to completely restore the car. “What started off as a father-son project soon turned into a father, son, and friends project. Most people worked for free or at a discounted rate—pizza and root beer were often the payment for hours spent working or helping on the Camaro.”
