Chevrolet was going to retire the Camaro model permanently by 2024, but recent reports indicate it is going to stay on the market until 2026.
General Motors has not commented on the alleged leak yet.
Official sources said the Camaro had no prospects in the changing industry and was not viable to maintain or update due to low overall demand. The figures seem to support it: Chevrolet has only sold 22,226 Camaro units in the United States in the third quarter this year, a nearly 40% drop from the same period last year.
