Looks like the ZL1 is in a contest let’s see if the ZL1 wins in December. make sure to keep it locked here. The Chevy Camaro ZL1, driven by Associate Editor Byron Pope, is one of 41 contenders for the 2013 Ward’s 10 Best Engines competition. WardsAuto editors evaluate eligible vehicles during their normal driving routines, considering a wide range of factors such as horsepower, torque, NVH, technical specs and the competitive set.

To be eligible, vehicles must have new or significantly improved engines and be on sale in the U.S. during first-quarter 2013, with a base price under $55,000. Winners to be announced on WardsAuto.com in December 2012.
