Only 100 Stage III Yenko S/C Camaros Are Planned To Be Built

 

CamaroNews – 2023 Sema opening day, 2024 is the final model year of the Chevrolet Camaro in its current form. Not only that, but production of these beautiful Machines will end as early as December, ending things shorter than expected. That alone will make the 2024 model year cars a rarity. However, if you’re looking for something even more unique, check out the recently announced Specialty Vehicle Engineering 2024 Yenko/SC Camaro. Having already upgraded over 65,000 GM muscle cars and trucks, SVE has put a stamp on things with the addition of the Stage III version, sending an outstanding 1,500 horsepower to the rear wheels of this magnificent muscle car. Yes, a one thousand five hundred horsepower Camaro.

 

The 2024 SVE Yenko/SC Camaro will be available on the LT1, 1SS, and 2SS Camaros in both coupe and convertible configurations with automatic or manual transmissions. The supercharged muscle car is also emission-legal in all 50 states, which is always a plus. The 2024 Yenko/SC Camaro features a unique appearance that will grab the attention of almost anyone in the area. With an exciting Yenko side stripe, a body-color painted carbon fiber hood, and an exposed carbon fiber hood scoop that blends perfectly with the lines of the Camaro, you’ll be proud of the car sitting in your garage. Even if the hood scoop sacrifices even more visibility from inside the vehicle.

 

There are four options for the 2024 Yenko/SC Camaro, from the standard 750 horsepower model to the Stage III version that bumps power up to staggering levels. The three stages are based on the SS 1LE with an automatic (Stage I only) or six-speed manual transmission beyond that. The Stage I Yenko/SC has 1,150 hp and 910 lb-ft, Stage II has 1,200 hp and 1,000 lb-ft, and as mentioned, the all-new Stage III Yenko Camaro has 1,500 hp and 1,280 lb-ft of torque.

 

Each of the different stages includes all of the outstanding performance features the 1LE offers to properly balance the fantastic power of the supercharged engine. That includes Magnetic Ride Control, Electronic Limited-slip differential, Performance-Tuned suspension with unique bushings, springs, stabilizer bars, and a heavy-duty cooling system including an engine oil cooler, dual outboard radiators, transmission cooler, and rear differential cooler. The functional 1LE front splitter will help reduce nose lift, and the rear spoiler will keep the rear firmly planted on the race track. The 1LE also features Recaro Performance seats that keep you in position even when taking on curves at high speeds.

As for the new Stage III kit, which we’re sure will be on many people’s wishlists, Specialty Vehicle Engineering developed its own supercharged custom-built 416 cubic-inches (6.8L) engine, based on the production 6.2 Liter LT1 V8 found under the hood of the 2024 Yenko Stage I and II Camaros.

SVE pushed the envelope further with the new Stage III Camaro by utilizing a new 427 cubic-inch (7.0L) V8 that’s based on, get this, the 6.6L cast-iron block of the L8T V8. This proves that this workhorse engine block found exclusively in GM’s most heavy duty trucks is indeed the answer to Ford’s Godzilla V8, and worthy of powering SVE’s Camaro grand finale.

Getting the big iron-block V8 to push out 1,500 hp took no shortage of upgrades. These include forged pro series I-beam rods, forged aluminum pistons, CNC ported high-flow LT4 cylinder heads with high lift springs, upgraded valvetrain, ARP high-strength head and main studs, custom supercharger with a 10-rib dedicated belt drive system utilizing an upgraded fuel system and injectors, a larger throttle body, and custom stainless steel exhaust system.

There’s but one catch to unlock 1,500 hp in the Yenko S/C Stage III Camaro: it requires high-octane race fuel. SVE specifically mentions Sunoco 260GT race fuel, in fact. That said, it will still drink 91 or 93 octane, but will produce slightly lower power numbers. Just like the original Dodge Demon did, as it could run on both premium fuel or race gas, as well.

2024 Yenko S/C Stage III Camaro Pricing And Availability

Just like the standard 2024 Yenko/SC Camaro, just 50 of each of the Stage I and II muscle cars will be produced, but 100 Stage III Camaros will be built, complete with all of the Yenko/SC good looks and enough power to make even Dodge Challenger Demon 170 drivers do a double take. Interested parties can inquire further through the SVE website, with pricing of this 1,500 hp muscle car coming in at $129,995 USD, which would include a $10,000 USD deposit to get the work started. That’s about $86 per horsepower.
