Description from the eBay auction:
1967 Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car
The ICC Keeping Pace Registry contained in the 67-68 Camaro Reference Book, compiled by John Hooper and D.M. Crispino, shows that the Camaro with a build date of 05D and last 7 of the VIN number being L158687, is the last factory built Pace Car. According to this, This Pace Car is “The Last Pace Car” to come off the factory line for 1967.
I have also had communication with Tom McGinnty of Camaro Research Group and he also believes this may be“The Last Pace Car.”
This Pace Car was stumbled upon almost 30 years ago by a street sweeper in the Los Angeles, Ca area. He contacted his friend, Sal Perez of American Muscle Cars in San Bernadino, Ca. Sal purchased the car and began the task of restoring it to its original condition.
This car has been in the spotlight since its rebirth 30 years ago with attention from “Super Chevy Magazine” November 2000 and the TV show “Chop, Cut Rebuild.”
This car has been acid dipped and brought back to life to look like it did when it rolled off the factory floor in 1967!
As true to American Muscle Cars Style the Frame-off Powder Coating, laser straight metal work, and stunning paintwork are an attachment to perfection.
