1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

This restored 1969 Hugger Orange Camaro Z28 features the ultra (less than 2% of 69 Camaros came options with it) fold-down rear seats options and also the desirable GM factory headers.  The engine was built to authentic 1969 Chevrolet codes and standards; a historically correct presentation was the goal as outlined below.  In 2000 this 1969 Camaro Z/28 underwent a thorough restoration to include correct matching code 72 Hugger Orange paint and 711 Black standard interior.  Restoration was completed in April 2002.  Sean O’Brien at B&T Custom Rod of Sparks, NV  applied the PGG Hugger Orange base coat/clear coat paint and black stripes.  The original black vinyl top was removed.  New hood springs, hinges and new door hinges were installed.  Interior was gutted and new insulation, water shields, strip caulk and carpet was installed.  Steve Cleveland at B&T installed a new headliner and sail panels.  Seat frames, buns and upholstery were redone by the Furniture Doctor of Incline Village, NV.  The 302 was built by Superior Machine of Sparks, NV to include new 11:1 compression JE pistons, 2.02/1.60 valves, hardened seats, port matched heads, mild bowl work, balancing rotating assembly, new Cola 3 inch stroke camshaft, Probe heavy duty rods, ARP fasteners, mechanical blueprinted factory replacement 302 Z/28 camshaft from Crane with solid lifters, high volume oil pump, correct windage tray, oil pan and correct 3923472 aluminum high rise manifold.  The rear axle 12 bolt positracton was changed from the factory 3:73’s to Richmond 3:90’s.  This car is a real X-33, D-80, Norwood built Z/28 Camaro with a Muncie M-21 four speed and special high performance 302 engine.  Block casting: 3932386, Block casting date: L-6-8, Engine Production Code: V0510DZ, Engine Block Vehicle Code: 19N652114, VIN:124379N652114, Paint Code: 72B Hugger Orange, Black vinyl top (removed), Interior Code: 711 Black Standard Bucket, Rear Axle Date Code: E 10 9, Cylinder Head Code: 3927186 Double hump 2.02/1.60 valves, Transmission Code: P9E05B19N652114, Options: Fold down rear seat, power steering, Clock, tilt wheel, X-33 style trim, D-80 spoilers F&R.  The following new items were installed during the restoration period:  heavy duty radiator, hoses, belts, stainless steel brake lines, flexible brake lines, master cylinder, front wheel bearing seals, fuel lines (tank to pump and pump to carb), water pump, fuel pump, heater core, heater hoses, Optima battery, front sway bar, rear sway bar, door hinges, hood hinges and springs, window felts, Soft Seal window, trunk and door weather stripping, spare tire and wheel, jack, trunk mat and tire cover, battery cables, seat belts, paint, interior, engine, McLeod clutch, U-joints and rear yoke.
