I thought the emblems that came stock on the Camaro did not create that old muscle car look. The gold bowtie on the grille and trunk seemed too tame. So, I started looking into different options. I will not tint or plasti-dip them…so that option is out. So, my first attempt to capture that muscle car look was to order black billet bowtie replacements that reuse the chrome bowtie outline. I thought these looked nice once installed, but I also wasn’t moved by them. I did a few searches in Google and stumbled on Sparks Restorations. The emblems are machined from a block of 6061-T6 billet aluminum then either polished, powder coated or both based on your color selection. The front emblem for my Heritage grille was $145 and the trunk emblem was $135. The thought of spending $280 for SS emblems seemed a bit much…but they sure looked nice. After thinking about it for a few days, I threw caution to the wind and ordered them…and I’m so glad I did! These are amazing, well made with excellent paint.
