Good afternoon, Camaro Comrades,  Firebird Friends, and Corvette Cousins!

I get many requests to send various notes, articles, event notices and the like to you – and I must filter many requests.  I recently received the following from our good friend, Kelly Fromm – and because it involves helping the Men and Women who have fought to preserve our Freedom, I’m sending it on to you…..

Thus, here’s an opportunity to:

VETERAN 1 – a high-performance customized Camaro –  has become a web sensation and a favorite amongst  military and veteran groups.  It has won many prestigious awards – the most recent being selected as “Hottest Car” at SEMA 2011 this past fall.  HotRod TV/Speed Channel named it one of the top ten cars at SEMA 2010.  It has participated in many parades throughout the country – including the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C. this past year.

Veteran 1 was created by Kelly Fromm – whom many of you have met at various Camaro events in both the U.S. and Canada.  Kelly is a Disabled Veteran who was on a waiting list for 5 years trying to get a Dog.  He found ADASDF who provided to him  “Catherine”  – a ADASDF Dog when Kelly graduated in June of 2010.  Since then, Kelly has made it his mission to help raise funds for ADASDF — he’s donated nearly $10,000 of his personal funds and has helped to raise over $35,000 in various fund-raisers –most of the funds contributed by YOU, our fellow Camaro Enthusiasts!

Kelly’s wish is to sell a total of 2,000 raffle tickets at $50 per ticket  — the Winner receiving VETERAN 1,   This would raise  $100,000 – and as he puts it “…I’m giving ADASDF every cent of it…..”

This fundraiser will allow ADASDF to expand their Veteran Outreach and provide more service dogs.

About ADASDF:

The mission of ADASDF is to train and provide service dogs at no cost to Wounded veterans and others with mobile disabilities in order to help restore their physical and emotional independence. According to the Department of Defense, one in four of our returning injured military are mobility-impaired, and suffer various injuries, including loss of limbs, hands, and foot/feet. Many have suffered multiple amputations. While there are assistance programs available to these heroes, so much more is needed.

Now they face the challenges of adjusting to civilian life with a permanent disability. ADASDF’s goal is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to train, purchase, and connect a canine to our deserving American Heroes.
