CamaroNews – We stopped by on a Camaro Clinic day. When we arrived we were greeted with a great coffee and donuts quick breakfast. The Team at Life’s Good Racing is very energetic about Racing, Fabrication and most of all Camaro’s. They race a multitude of automobiles. Karl Chicca, Owner has a huge passion for racing, building and teaching racing to serious enthusiasts who want to learn the sport. Chris Hovey, Crew Chief & Shop Manager, has over 30 years of experience in all forms of auto racing including open wheel, circle track, sports car, hill climb, and more. We can’t forget about Dave Brown, Driver and Professional Coach with 20 national road racing championships spanning myriad racing series over a 22 year career in racing. The 3 of them have opened Life’s Good Racing which has been open for some years now. At this clinic they showed us the key features in changing your break fluid after 2 years, especially after hard driving it’s suggested you change it every 2 years. The team runs a great shop that can build just about anything for it’s customers. They have some serious projects which I have watched over my last two visits. The pride in workmanship is top notch. The fabrication that is being done is just insanely good. Don’t be fooled these are race guys and they love to race as well as build high performance race machines. They offer many programs to learn and even an Arrive & Drive concept, where you simply show up and strap in and race a car an GO! We were excited to be in the shop to interview Karl Chicca and his team on this beautiful Sunday in Livermore Wine country. He shared with us his passion for racing and for safety. His crew also went through a run down on braking and how to approach a turn while racing at the track. This is a full shop and they love working on cars.
